| 386 如何善用善知识或灵性讲道？ |

June 19, 2012: How can one make best use of noble company or spiritual expositions? Bhagawan guides us today.
It is good to attend discourses on the Geetha by learned scholars. However this is of no use if you lean on a pillar in the lecture hall and doze off. That is to say, it is not the sound, but the meaning that matters. It is not the ear, but the heart that must drink the nectar of Geetha and imbibe its essence. Seek and enjoy noble company (Sathsangam); but along with that, there also needs to be self-examination. Examine yourself to see how much you have succeeded in escaping from the senses, and getting close to God. Mana eva manushyaanaam kaaranam bandha mokshayoh --- "the mind binds and the mind liberates". So train the mind and win. It is a wild elephant which can be tamed with the goad of Soham. Do not feed it with conceit, envy, hatred and greed. Let the name of the Lord echo ever in the ear.

| 去听有学问的学者讲《薄伽梵歌》是好的，可是如果你靠在演讲厅的柱子上睡着了，那没有用。也就是说，不在于其声音，而在于其意义；不是耳朵，而是心要去啜饮《薄伽梵歌》的琼浆，吸收它的精华。要结交善知识，但同时也要会自省。检讨自己，看看自己在逃脱感官掌控，接近上帝这方面有多成功。古谚有云：“心能禁锢人，亦能使人解脱。”所以要训练心，来获得胜利。心就像一只野象，可以靠Soham这根刺棒来加以驯服，不要用自负、嫉妒、憎恨、贪婪来喂养牠，让主的名号时时萦绕耳际，它就会被驯服。
